Welcome

Hello all,

My name is Cassie. I’m a Yooper currently residing in Portland, OR. I’ve been procrastinating and going back and forth on starting a blog again. It’s been 6 years since the slow demise of my last blog, a tumblr from my high school days.

Lots changed. Instead of writing from my hot pink bedroom, stuck in a tiny town… I’m sitting in an apartment living room in a city that’s maybe too big. The teenage angst music has been replaced by Lo-Fi and classics. My life’s issues have gone from ‘what university will I attend’ to ‘how can help dismantle the systemic oppression of POC’…

I live in this tiny apartment with my boyfriend and my cat, Storm. I’m working as a nanny and (if quarantine ever ends) the director of an after school program for elementary students. I’m in school still as well, and that right there is 80% of my time. The rest of it is spent binge watching random stuff, reading, playing board games, attending grief support group, and attempting to plan the rest of my life.

This blog will likely be a weird mix of all of that stuff. If any of the above sounds remotely interesting, check back in.
