As I’ve had the time and the thoughts to share, diving back into my writing, my goals, and my next year… it’s hard to not also look back at the last year. I try to avoid conventional New Years Resolutions for any one of twenty good reasons… but the changing of the year does bring so many thoughts about both future and past.
When I think about this blog thus far, I find myself feeling guilty and disappointed in my own inability to do much of anything in a good time table. I also find myself wanting to finish some of these projects now, before the new year… a chance to complete and a chance to start fresh.
I find myself wanting to reflect, on this year as a whole both within the blog and in my world as whole. I want to share… triumphs and losses. Lists and musings from what has been a strange, unique, and trying year, fill my head.
And I find myself looking to 2021… planning, scheming, and wondering. there is still soooo much in limbo, so much unknown. But also lots of excitement, for a change in presidency and a change in the change. I am hopeful for what was unknown this year, to be known and managed next year. I am hopeful that the unknown of next year, will not be quite so devastating. The number of lessons I’m hoping were learning in 2020 by society and individuals is truly astronomical…. but what can I say.
And so, to sum up this thought and lay out the ground work… over the next 3 days, I am going to wrap up some of what I’ve started, reminisce and reflect in positive ways, and hopefully leave us with closure and hope for the next year.
