Adventures in Cooking: The Parfait is Literally the Best

Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Dessert… I have quite literally eaten a parfait for every meal known at one point or another in the last month or so.

I’ve tried lots of different kinds of granola, yogurts, and flavors. But I have determined the below to be important in my favorites so far.

– some added nuts or protein rich grains… for added health benefits and lasting hunger resolutions. (Almonds and chia seeds are my faves)

– a little bit of salt somewhere.

– slightly softer oats than most granolas have.

– fruit of some kind.

– Greek yogurt with vanilla or honey, or both. I sometimes infuse it with chai tea. Yum!

– Thin crunchy something, I like freeze dried strawberry slices or baked coconut.

– a few big hunks of sweet something. 3 chunks of the salty chocolate granola do the trick for me.

Anyway… whatever you decide your perfect mix is… I strongly suggest you play with parfaits… they are versatile, easy, healthy, and quick.
