We woke up late after waiting staying up too late watching an entire 6 episode psychological thriller. Nick needed to get some work hours in so Nicks mom and I dropped him off. She was just visiting for the weekend. She’s one of those people who loves to be doing things.
She and I headed for IKEA to finally pick up the dining room chairs we’ve been waiting on stock for since October. The order wasn’t quite ready so we tried out a Mexican restaurant called “Cha Cha Cha”… and it was really good. They had great veggies and really nice salsa. And it we chatted about weddings and rings and family and more.
We grabbed coffee, then headed back to IKEA and by now it was already 1:30. We picked Nick up from work and headed back to the house where we measured in the yard for our new berry patch project and then I settled in to work on homework, while Nick and his mom headed out to get supplies for the project.
When they got back a few hours later, we got the first post in the ground, but by then it was time for dinner. We ordered pizza and in doing so finally found what I think will be our favorite pizza place here in Oregon so far. It was fantastic! We played a board game, watched a glass blowing competition, and finally headed to bed.
It was a chill day. A fun day, and honestly I was exhausted by the end.
