This page will highlight the various projects, campaigns, tags, or other specific things that I am working on or have done. I hope that everyone can find something worth following, worth sharing, worth using as inspiration, or worth just looking through!
Let me know if you have ideas for other cool projects!
Poetry, Erotica, and other Writing
I used to write all the time. As a teenager I had a fairly successful tumblr blog. I wrote largely just my thoughts and musings, but occasionally included art, poetry, photography, and fanfics. I stopped writing for fun in college, at least not in a way I shared. I journaled pretty consistently, but stopped writing for public consumption. I restarted blogging around the beginning of the Pandemic. I’ve gone in and out of that since 2020, which you can easily see by looking back on this blog. Recently though, I have stumbled into a poetry community and an erotica reading event. This has sparked new writing fires in my heart and inspired more and different writing. I’m excited to be exploring comedy, sex, and spirituality in ways that I hadn’t before.
Through Style I’ll…
I try to shy away from your standard New Years Resolutions… but working on nailing down my personal style, pairing down my closet, and finally finding my way to a wardrobe that is both beautiful and functional, actually sounds fun, as opposed to burpees or dieting. So join me on a my mission to a curated closet.
Adventures in Cooking
In an effort to remedy and improve on everything from work load distribution within my relationship to my own fraught and complex relationship with food… I am on an adventure, with any luck at all, along the way I might actually learn to enjoy cooking. So for recipes, the inevitable disasters, and some mental unpacking, check out my Adventures in Cooking.
The Podcast Project
The last 2 or so years, I’ve toyed with the idea of starting a podcast. That said, I know nothing about creating, editing, producing… sound equipment. Zip Zilch Zero. But after years of thinking on it and wanting to try it, quarantine feels like the perfect time to learn new things. It’s not going to be a fast process for sure… but check out the latest Podcast Project post to see where I’m at!
*on hold at this moment.
#SecondhandSeptember
September 2020. I can’t tell you all after a ridiculous, long, hot summer how pumped I am to be slipping into fall, and even though it was 95 degrees here today, I did some fall outfit shopping. I visited two of Portland’s plus-size second hand shops and it was a really cool first experience in a place like that.
* I shared 5 posts with thoughts on plus-size shopping, the shops I visited, and the fashion industry as a whole. Combining fall fashion, sustainability, and accessibility… Check them out!
Grief Written:
June 8th, 2019 I lost my dad in an automobile accident. I quickly realized how difficult and stained conversations around loss and grief can be. A few months in, co-workers and friends around you have forgotten. Acquaintances have moved on. Differences in how you process your grief can make it hard to confide in shared loved ones.
For me grief has been an ever changing, always present companion. He is both comforting and intrusive. He is painful and healing. He’s my best friend and a complete bitch. Unlike my Social Justice writing, the writing I do with grief is for me. It’s not written with the intent to share. I’m sharing it anyway…
I guess I’m hoping to help myself break that stigma that I should just shut up and swallow it. And maybe, just maybe I can help someone else process, shake the stigma, or at least open up to their own grief. Whether you have lost someone or not… we all have grief of some kind.

Activism Actions: Actionable reminders for things you can do to make the world a better place.
Activism Actions was born from my journey into Anti-racism work, which has still only just begun. But as I was working out how I wanted to share that with people around me, I realized that I needed to be a better ally to not just BIPOC, but also disabled, other women, LGBTQIA+, the neurodiverse, and everyone else out there facing challenges who could use some backup. I learned pretty quickly that while I also manage my life, grief, relationships, education, and work, I couldn’t do week long self-education jaunts with any kind of frequency. After a little while I was able to find a way I could continue to educate myself and well as continue to take action.
It’s not enough. But it’s a start to a lifelong work.
Every few months,I will pick and issue and educate myself on it. I will pick at least two things I can do to make a difference. I will share those things and what I’ve learned with the world, raising my voice in support. I will also find someone who is living with the injustice and amplify their voice through my platform.
I hope you will share what you do with me, continue this conversation with someone new, and feel inspired by some of what I share!
From One White Person to Another

Activism Actions: From One White Person to Another: a week long journal detailing the beginning of one person’s journey into anti-racism work and education.
Following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020 I realized that my voice had been mostly silent when it came to combating racism. This silence is complacency and ultimately supports the continued oppression of Black and Brown people in American and around the world. I now know that I need to do more.
“In a racist society it is not enough to be non-racist, we must be anti-racist.” -Angela Davis
In an effort to educate myself and to reflect on my own racism (if you’re white, you have some) I took part in a week long challenge. During that week I effectively ‘muted’ myself on social media. I didn’t post to my feed and I refrained from commenting. I also muted the white people I follow.
Using resources supplied by the awesome BIWOC who started this movement, I started to find more POC to follow. Over the course of the week I found more than 50 accounts that I really like. I shared their stories and posts to my story. I focussed on listening, educating myself, reflecting, and amplifying their voices.
Over the course of the week I also made sure to take part in anti-racist activities. But the important thing was that my work not stop at the end of the week. So I have continued to make periodic updates and to be accountable. Hopefully this will inspire some of you to also engage with your own racism and start to do the work.
